Our customer marketing and CRM expert David Oliver has experience across a variety of brands and markets as diverse as hotels for the largest hotel brand in the UK, Premier Inn; plus branded restaurants including Beefeater, Table-Table & Brewers Fayre with Whitbread. Visitor attractions with Merlin Entertainments including LEGOLANDs globally, The London Eye, Madame Tussauds, Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, the Dungeons attractions, Warwick Castle and Chessington World of Adventures. Plus the motor industry with Volkswagen, cable TV and telecoms with Nynex, energy with British Gas, financial services with Goldfish credit card, travel with Hertz Europe, and pay-TV broadcasting with Viasat.
His international experience includes working across mainstream European markets, together with emerging Eastern European markets including the Baltics, Ukraine and Russia.
David’s experience also covers a wide spectrum of marketing disciplines including setting marketing strategy, customer marketing & CRM, loyalty marketing, customer retention, membership marketing programmes, brands & advertising, market research, pricing strategy, marketing support to new business launches, driving growth, ethical counter competitor strategy, measuring marketing effectiveness, applying Net Promoter (NPS) and Hoshin Kanri for strategy alignment.
David speaks at conferences focussing on how principles from psychology can be applied to marketing planning, including pricing psychology. David has also lectured for the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and for the Institute of Sales Promotion (ISP). A French and Economics graduate, outside work David has a busy home-life as proud Dad to four lively children.
